This week looks like it's going to be a great week! The sales at Walgreens and Tops have made me an excitable mess! Hope you got your paper(s) today because there are some great coupons in there. By the end of the week I hope to have our freezer stocked full of free turkey products from Jennie-O and free cold and flu medicines for the hubby and I... you know, just in case ;)
Also it's getting closer to Halloween and we love hanging out with some friends and doing our annual halloween fun with them. We've still got to figure out what to dress the kids up as. We've got The Great Pumpkin Farm to look forward to (no, we still haven't made it) and hopefully some apply picking.
If you haven't booked your Free Night of Theater yet? My daughter and I got tickets for the Theater of Youth's production of Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business last week. It was AWESOME! We had so much fun and look forward to next years free tickets to come around again. Anyway, there is only one play left... several showings, in the next couple weeks and then that's it for the year. So if you are interested in going to a free play with a date than sign up and GO, you'll thank yourself (in The Buff, of course).
Did you miss me? I bet you did! Well, I'm back and I'm here to help you enjoy this great city and find some fabulous deals.
It's fall and the trees are in full color. What's your favorite thing to do in the fall?
We enjoy apple picking and going to The Great Pumpkin Farm. It's a tradition and we love those things. This year seems like it's been colder or wetter or busier or something because we have not gotten out much. My daughter and I did score FREE theater tickets to see Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business at the Theater of Youth (TOY) this past weekend and it was such a great show. Want to score some of your own free tickets? Well Junie B. Jones is no longer available but there are some others at Free Night of Theater's website. I honestly didn't think she enjoyed the show but she's been talking about it ever since and pretending to put on plays. This was a musical that was appropriate for children ages 4 and older. The actors did such a fantastic job, and afterward they let the audience (kids) ask questions. Some of the questions were really cute! I've been to a handful of plays and performances in my lifetime and I can honestly say that THIS ONE was by far THE BEST one I've ever been to. I had a hard time not laughing through the whole thing!
This week there are some great deals at Walgreens, especially if you need diapers, so make sure you check out the Shopping List Links on the side bar. Also at the end of the week 10/16-10/18 Quality Markets has a doubler in their add where you can double any coupon up to $3! WOW! This could mean some free or cheap stuff that is usually expensive. I've never shopped Quality Markets but I'll give it a go this week just for the doublers. (some restrictions apply to the doublers so make sure you read the fine print) I've got a few days but I plan on coming up with a plan of action for what to buy there.... I'm thinking laundry soap but we'll see. They also have the Purex Laundry soap on sale for $2.99 and if you use the coupon available on Purex's website (doubled with their normal coupon policy) you can get it for $1.99.
So tell us about your favorite Fall activities and what deals you will be doing this week.
Remember to get out there in The Buff and enjoy yourself!
Yup, that's right... I was taking a break. Don't worry though, the links for the shopping lists are actually good for each week. Click on them and they should take you to the current shopping list for each store.
Additionally, if you are still looking for something to do in The Buff this summer check out my post HERE.
One last thing, there are so many things that make The Buff so great... here's my list of favorites:
Treasure hunting in your neighbors trash on bulk trash day.... and your neighbor's neighbor, and so on.
It really is the City of Good Neighbors ... we've been on the receiving end of garden fresh veggies and flowers from several friends and neighbors. We've also been on the giving end and it's so nice to share with our neighbors and friends.
The weather is great and there are tons of things to do.
So what have you been doing this summer in The Buff?
Here are your lists and resources for this week. If you shop at a different store that accepts coupons and would like to see a list for it, leave a comment and I'll work on getting a list or resource for you. Happy Shopping!!!
Tops list can be found HERE (thanks Ann at Coupons, Deals and More) Don't throw your circular away... there is a $1 coupon doubler in their ad this week. You can use 2 on a purchase of $15 or more (says after other coupons have been deducted). It's a limited time event for the 18th - 20th. This could be a great tool to get some additional FREE stuff (along with your free Santa Cruz Juice - see link for details). There is only one doubler in your ad so get your neighbors ad, you friends ad, your mom's ad and pick some up in the store. Break your shopping up in to as many transactions as you can with the total of $15 after coupons to take the best advantage of this deal.
Wegmans list can be found HERE (thanks Liz at Frugal in Virginia) the list doesn't appear to be up yet, but I'm sure it will be soon.
Aldi list can be found HERE (thanks Sharon at Good, True and Beautiful)
Walmart can be found HERE (thanks Money Saving Mom) Don't forget to get your FREE floss and FREE ice cream! What a pair huh?! The price on the Bar-S hot dogs hasn't dropped yet so while it may be free in lots of areas of the country it's still not free here... yet!

After spending 2 and a half years getting to know this city and what it offers, I've decided to keep track of it. Sometimes it's hard getting to know a city and knowing what thrifty resources it has to offer, so this site is all about keeping track of Buffalo's resources, thrifty finds, coupon deals, what to do, and cheap entertainment.
I hope this helps you (and myself) to remember what this city has to offer and to get out there in The Buff!
